Great Plains Federal Credit Union has replaced its 90s-era Web site with a new presence it said it aimed at helping establish its online brand equity and attract the business of younger people.
The $275 million Joplin, Mo., credit union-www.greatplainsfcu.com-used T8 Webware of Cedar Falls, Iowa, to develop and launch the site, designed to be aesthetically pleasing as well as functional.
In addition to transaction functionality, constantly refreshed features include financial calculators, rates, an agriculture commodity prices table and community calendar, the credit union and company said. A content management system allows authorized users to make changes from any location.
Great Plains FCU has about 36,000 members and 12 branches in Missouri, Kansas and Texas. T8 Webware said its nontemplate driven Web sites are now in place at more than 150 credit unions and banks.
