Matthew Bilouris, a program officer at the NCUA's Office of Examination and Insurance, has been named special assistant to NCUA Executive Director David Marquis.
Bilouris, who joined the agency as an examiner in 1992, will have policy and strategic responsibilities in his new post, which is a newly created position.
He has held a variety of positions at the NCUA, including supervision analyst, information systems officer and program officer. He also spent a year as special assistant to former NCUA chairman and current Board Member Michael Fryzel.
