Bethpage Federal Credit Union gave American troops in Afghanistan the gift of music this past holiday season.
The credit union donated 200 iTunes gift cards to the troops. Congressman Steve Israel delivered the gift cards to the troops when he traveled to Afghanistan on Dec. 26.
"We are so happy to have helped bring some holiday cheer to the American troops in Afghanistan this holiday season," said Linda Armyn, senior vice president, Bethpage Federal Credit Union. "Music, like laughter, is a terrific de-stressor-we hope this donation brings some element of home to our dedicated troops."
