Pacific Service Credit Union was awarded a Congressional Certificate of Special Recognition from California Congressman George Miller (D-Martinez).

The certificate was awarded to the credit union for its efforts in raising awareness and preventing financial abuse in elderly and dependent adults.

"Financial abuse of senior citizens and adults who rely on others for their well-being is an under-reported and increasing crime. It is unfortunate that there are individuals that prey upon and abuse our elders and dependent adults," said Steve Punch, president of Pacific Service CU. "As a member of the financial industry it is our responsibility to do what we can to prevent and report these criminal acts."
