Greenbelt, Maryland-based Educational Systems FCU showed school spirit during Great Mills High School’s 2009 Homecoming Football Game by sponsoring a “Support Education” T-shirt drawing. The event was filled with excitement as students and families cheered the Great Mills Hornets varsity football team on. As members of the community entered into the Great Mills H.S. Stadium, Educational Systems FCU staffers passed out tickets, and at the end of the second quarter, gave away four “Support Education” prize packs to lucky ticket holders. Educational Systems FCU has been an active supporter of the St. Mary’s County Public School System for over 20 years. “We are delighted to show our school spirit throughout all of the counties that we serve,” said Educational Systems FCU Vice President of Marketing Victoria Samuels. “Our purpose in participating with spirit week is to encourage our youth to take pride in their academics, and to support our students to achieve their goals and dreams.” The credit union has over $317 million in assets.
