Missouri CUs Use Hike the Hill to Target Blunt

The political timing could not be better for Missouri credit unions next week to join CUNA's national Hike the Hill in light of a special Dec. 11 meeting with Rep. Roy Blunt, a Missouri Republican running for a U.S. Senate seat in 2010.

The political timing could not be better for Missouri credit unions next week to join CUNA’s national Hike the Hill in light of a special Dec. 11 meeting with Rep. Roy Blunt, a Missouri Republican running for a U.S. Senate seat in 2010.

“This is a great opportunity for all credit unions across the state, not just from Blunt’s seventh district, to come to St. Louis to discuss the issues,” said a spokeswoman for the Missouri Credit Union Association. MCUA expects 15 of its member CEOs to join the Washington gathering, and “we’re getting lots of RSVPs now for Dec. 11,” the spokeswoman said.
