Invest in America has expanded its credit union member discount program to two new businesses. FTD and CU Benefits Express will now offer credit union members discounts. FTD is a provider of floral related products and services to consumers and retail florists. CU Benefits Express is offering the partnership with Invest in America through Credit Union Resources, an affiliated company of the Texas Credit Union League. FTD will provide credit union members with a 20% discount on flowers and gifts and a seven day satisfaction guarantee. The program will run through Oct. 31, 2010. CU Benefits Express will offer discounts on two packages-a medical benefits package and a lifestyle benefits package. Each package will cost members approximately $12 a month. The packages include free and discounted programs such as LifeLock identity theft services, TelaDoc a 24/7 phone access provider to doctors, discounts on chiropractors, restaurants and pet care. Some programs one their own would cost as much as an entire CU Benefits Express package. “There has never been a better time to be a member of a credit union. The new Invest in America offers from American companies resonate with credit union members,” said David Adams, CUcorp CEO. “FTD and CU Benefits Express significantly expand the scope of products offered by credit unions. It’s the different in belonging to a member-drive financial institution that provides superior service and supports U.S. jobs.” The announcement of the two new additions comes after Invest in America rolled out a new Chrysler rewards program for credit union members during the month of November. Credit union members receive preferred pricing on Chrysler vehicles. According to CUcorp, over 2,000 credit unions actively market the Invest in America program.
