Sharetec Systems Inc. has converted Hereford Texas Federal Credit Union to its service bureau core processing platform, the company and credit union said.The $40 million Panhandle credit union had been an Ebank Systems Inc. customer, according to its 5300 Call Report with the NCUA.Hereford Texas FCU (www.htfcu.com) went live on the Sharetec Online platform on Oct. 1 as a service bureau client with the Lino Lakes, Minn., company.The 8,800 member credit union also deployed documents, audio response and home banking solutions from Sharetec, the company said.“Having a service bureau solution available to us was the most important part of the process. The credit union was also impressed by the redundancy provided by having a second location for off-site data storage. We know that in an emergency, the data is secure,” said Troy Don Moore, CEO of the Hereford, Texas, institution.Sharetec Systems is owned by its regional distributors-including DataSystems of Texas in El Paso-and currently serves more than 300 credit unions, the company said. –[email protected]
