GFA Federal Credit Union, Gardner, Mass., announced the appointment of Andrew Boucher to its board of directors. Boucher will fill the seat previously held by recently retired director Charles Langlois. Boucher is a local business owner and has served on the credit union's supervisory committee since 2003. He also is committed to community service and is actively involved in several local organizations.
Freedom Federal Credit Union, Bel Air, Md., announced that Mary L. Bieniek has been promoted to the position of controller. Bieniek joined the credit union in 2007 and was previously responsible for directing all activities of the accounting department. Prior to joining the credit union, she was responsible for managing the acquisitions process of Sylvan Learning franchise centers, a subsidiary of Educate Inc. She has almost 20 years of accounting and finance experience. SOUTH
