Mountain America Credit Union, Salt Lake City, opened its newest branch in West Jordan and celebrated with a grand opening. The new branch is the fourth West Jordan location for the credit union. Mountain America celebrated with a grand opening barbeque for members and residents. The branch manager and staff were on hand to open new accounts and answer questions.

Lacamas Community Credit Union, Camas, Wash., opened a new branch in Stevenson. The credit union held a ribbon cutting ceremony that was attended by more than 75 people, including local dignitaries, elected officials, business people, Lacamas Community executives and board members. State Employees’ Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., purchased land for a new branch building at the Lowe’s Grove Rural Credit Union site in Durham, N.C. SECU chose the branch location because of its history and significance to the credit union movement. Lowe’s Grove Rural Credit Union was the first rural credit union in the South and it opened for business on Jan. 20, 1916.
