Shell Federal Credit Union, Deer Park, Texas, partnered with the San Jacinto YMCA to collect school supplies to benefit children in need from the Deer Park,

Shell Federal Credit Union, Deer Park, Texas, partnered with the San Jacinto YMCA to collect school supplies to benefit children in need from the Deer Park, Pasadena and La Porte Independent School Districts. Shell FCU raised $6,345 and donated a dozen boxes of crayons, glue, scissors, colored markers and pencils. Members donated funds to the cause and branches competed against each other to see who collect the most supplies. With the money raised the credit union was able to purchase 729 backpacks for children.

Black Hills Federal Credit Union, Rapid City, S.D., completed its annual school supply drive, now in its 13th year. The credit union takes in donations of supplies and monetary donations from local business and individuals to give to students in Rapid City, Box Elder and Black Hawk. This year, the credit union collected 87,000 supplies to donate to 40 area schools. The supplies will fill desks and lockers of more than 4,000 students.
