DATCU, Denton, Texas, announced that Loan Operations Assistant Elizabeth Crews received a top volunteer award from Denton Independent School District. In order to receive the award, Crews volunteered for more than 300 hours at Strickland Middle School and Billy Ryan High School.

Greater Nevada Credit Union, Carson City, Nev., announced that its Minden branch has received the partnership award for outstanding volunteerism from the Douglas County Library. The award recognizes volunteerism by businesses based on their overall contribution as well as the length and consistency of their contribution to the library. In 2008, the Minden branch volunteered 40 hours with the library, helping them with a variety of activities including checking books in and out, sorting and shelving books, and answering phones. FORUM Credit Union, Indianapolis, announced that FORUM Solutions, its wholly owned subsidiary, was awarded the excellence in corporate IT award at the 2009 Mira awards. The awards honor Indiana businesses, schools, universities and individuals for their contributions to the state’s technology-related economy. FORUM Solutions received the award for its internally developed consumer loan origination software solution called TAPS Lending, the upgrade to FORUM’s communication infrastructure and the launch of new product offerings for the benefit of the credit union’s membership.
