Former N.Y. League Chairman Kucera Passes

The Credit Union Association of New York is mourning the loss of former chairman Miles Kucera who was recently killed in a fatal car crash on Long Island. He was 78 years old.

The Credit Union Association of New York is mourning the loss of former chairman Miles Kucera who was recently killed in a fatal car crash on Long Island. He was 78 years old.

Kucera had been involved in the credit union movement since he began Suffolk FCU from the trunk of his car over 40 years ago. Since that time he served as a member of the credit union’s board of directors, helping to build the organization into the $840 million credit union it is today. In 2007, the credit union’s new headquarters was dedicated in Kucera’s name.
