Pacific Service Credit Union has continued to give this year despite the economic conditions. The credit union announced that in the first six months of 2009, it has donated more than $50,000 to nonprofit organizations throughout Northern California. In 2001, the credit union developed a Community Involvement Program to fund its donations. The program focuses its efforts on organizations that assist low-income and at-risk individuals, especially children. "Every year, these local nonprofit organizations work to assist needy residents of our community," said Steve Punch, Pacific Service president. "With the support of our members and our board of directors, we are able to do our part to support local organizations that do so much for our community." –[email protected]
