BOSTON -- CUNA President/CEO Dan Mica said President Obama is "hyperactive" and the pace of legislative and regulatory activity will be quite fast for some time.


He told attendees at the America's Credit Union Conference and Expo that CUNA's representatives have testified on Capitol Hill six times so far this year, compared with about once per year during the past few years.

He also said Obama's decision to keep NCUA separate will help credit unions but the agency is still unpredictable.

"There's something in the water there that changes their thinking so we will send them bottled water," he said.
