NAFCU Offers Webcast on Credit Card Rules

Employees of credit unions with credit card programs can learn about the new regulations on credit cards at NAFCU’s Webcast from 2:00-3:30 p.m. EDT. on May 6.

Participants will learn about the five new Unfair or Deceptive Acts or Practices rules adopted last December. These include changes regarding limited credit card account repricing; card issuers’ payment allocation; card statement mailing requirements; the prohibition of so-called double-cycle billing; and first-year fee and deposit limitations. The regulations are scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2010.
