Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union will be converting its core processing to a new platform from Open Solutions Inc., the credit union and company said.The $2.6 billion institution in Washington, D.C., will be running on the Complete Credit Union Solution: DNA, the latest iteration of the Connecticut company's Oracle-based relational database solution.Bank-Fund Staff also plans to implement Open Solutions' cView, Channel Management Center, ProfitVision and telephony solutions and use its customized professional services.The 59,000-member credit union currently uses a core processing solution from Harland Financial Solutions, according to its NCUA 5300 Call Report.Bank-Fund Staff cited member centricity and the relational database as the primary reasons for converting to a new platform."With a growing membership base, it was vital for us to take the next step in making members the center of our institution," said Timothy Elmore, chief information officer for Bank-Fund Staff FCU. "The single-screen, holistic view of members' relationships with the credit union will provide invaluable benefits for our front-line sales and service initiatives, while the Oracle relational technology will streamline back-end processes and provide faster product-to-market times."More than 100 credit unions and banks have adopted the DNA platform since Open Solutions launched it about a year ago.–[email protected]
