Credit unions may have yet another opportunity to offer their members and non members a better card deal just when many consumers with very solid credit scores are getting frustrated with their bank card issuer.
Media outlets from around the country have reported that bank card issuers are hiking the interest rates on even their strongest customers, those who have never made a late payment and then citing economic conditions when the customers call to complain.
Credit union card industry analysts are on record urging credit unions to prudently make more credit available to members whose credit lines have been cut or made more expensive by banks.
