Fiserv has changed the name of its widely used Premier core processing platform to Portico.

The platform has a long history in the credit union space, most recently belonging to IntegraSys, the former EDS core processing unit that was purchased by Fiserv back in 2001.

Fiserv said the rebranding to Portico coincides with the company's recent overall rebranding and with the completion of the migration of nearly all the credit unions using that system onto the new Microsoft .NET platform.
