Small businesses struggling to stay afloat will have a number of resources to turn to through Alliance Credit Union's package of downturn survival plans.

Throughout April, the San Jose, Calif.-based CU will offer a number of services including Small Business FinanceWorks, a new suite of online tools that aim to help streamline billing and invoicing, expand credit card processing, introduce remote deposit and payroll services. The services are free to all Alliance CU business checking members.

The $363 million CU will also offer a free seminar, "Taking Steps in a Downturn Economy," on April 23, which will be co-presented with the Silicon Valley SCORE. Alliance will cap off the month with an April 30 small business workshop where attendees will receive advice the SBFW product development team on its business finance management software. Participants will have a chance to win one of two $250 office supplies gift card at the workshop.
