EASTTeachers Federal Credit Union, Farmingville, N.Y., announced that Christopher B. Wegla has been named assistant vice president-risk management. In his new position, Wegla will be responsible for designing, developing and evaluating risk-management strategies for the credit union. He will also be responsible for disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Wegla is a member of the F.B.I. InfraGard, Community Emergency Response Team and the Long Island Fraud and Forgery Association.Credit Union National Association, Washington, named Lisa J. McCue vice president of editorial communications at the association. McCue will now head up CUNA’s News Now-a daily internet based news and information service for credit unions and those with an interest in credit unions. She will also be responsible for “News Watch” newsletter, the biweekly publication as well as other aspects of communication for the association.

United Teletech Financial Credit Union has announced the promotion of Francis James from chief financial officer/vice president administration to chief financial officer/executive vice president operations. James will now be responsible for the direction of all operating functions for the company. The credit union also announced management shifts in anticipation of the opening of their new branch in Marlboro, N.J. Laura Black has assumed the position of branch manager at the Neptune location. Sarah Nazario was promoted to branch manager at the AT&T location in Middletown, N.J. Randy Pietsch, will become branch manager of the Marlboro, N.J. location when it opens in April 2009. Phillip Woolfolk will be the branch manager of the North Brunswick, N.J., location.Northeast Family Federal Credit Union, Manchester, Conn., announced that Fred Brown, director of marketing and member development, was elected vice president of the Hartford chapter of the Credit Union League of Connecticut.
