With a $10,000 incentive, seven families have until the end of the year to prove that they have what it takes to improve their financial lives.A judging panel at Tallahassee-based Florida Commerce Credit Union recently picked the families from a pool of more than 100 applicants for its WeLiveFIT! Challenge. Each of the challengers has been assigned a financial coach to help them develop and follow a personalized plan to achieve financial independence. The family that shows the most financial improvement at the end of the year will receive $10,000, according to the credit union. The $300 million credit union will track each families’ progress on its WeLiveFitChallenge.com Web site.“With so many compelling stories from our community, it was difficult to narrow the field down to the final seven,” said Samantha Strickland, director of marketing at Florida Commerce. “The seven families we chose have financial challenges that our community can relate to. We hope people will follow the families and learn financial tips that can be applied to their own situation.”
