The diaper drive was designed to help children in the community start life healthy by ensuring families have access to diapers.Pen Air Federal Credit Union, Pensacola, Fla., participated in the light the night walk, raising more than $26,000. The walk was hosted by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on the University of West Florida’s campus.San Antonio Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, celebrated another record-breaking fundraising campaign. All 670 credit union employees participated, donating more than $184,000 to the United Way.DuTrac Community Credit Union, Dubuque, Iowa, announced the credit union will provide grants to the Dubuque Community School District up to $10,000. The grants are intended to assist in the financial support of elementary school students’ field trips.MidSouth Federal Credit, Milledgeville, Ga., bestowed a donation to representatives of the Junior Police Academy. The donation is designed to assist in funding the sixth annual Junior Police Academy class.Lacamas Community Credit Union, Camas, Wash., dispensed a donation to the Skamania School District. District Business Manager JoAnn Fritz accepted the check from LCCU President/CEO Kathleen Romane during a school assembly.Pacific Service Credit Union, Walnut Creek, Calif., announced the creation of a $5,000 grant for the Marine Mammal Center to financial assist the organization’s whale bus outreach program. The grant will permit the Marine Mammal Center to bring marine science to schools in low-income communities all over the San Francisco Bay Area.SECU Foundation, Raleigh, N.C., announced that State Employees’ Credit Union members pledged $250,000 to assist in the construction of a freestanding inpatient hospice. The donated funds will be channeled to the project by way of the foundation.

NARFE Premier Federal Credit Union, Alexandria, Va., recently made a charitable donation to NARFE’s Alzheimer’s Research Fund during the credit union’s national convention. The event was held late last year in Louisville, Ky.
