With an emphasis on doing more with less, Summit Credit Union has kicked off Project Money.

From now until March 31, 2009, the Madison, Wis. credit union will recruit and select four families or individuals with varied backgrounds to compete to take charge of their financial lives. Each participant will meet with a Summit financial coach for seven months who will provide them with the customized tools and advice they need to accomplish their financial goals.

Those selected will share their progress and unique stories on Summit's Web site and online blog, as well as in various media outlets and member communications, serving as a learning tool for the entire community. There is also a 'play at home' option featuring helpful financial articles and tips, seminar schedules and Web-based educational tools aimed at helping consumers achieve their own financial goals.
