Haitema, executive vice president of correspondent services at U.S. Central, was recently elected chairperson of NACHA-the electronic payments association.Haitema, who has been with U.S. Central since 2005 and has 22 years experience in the financial services field, has been active in NACHA for several years.“I’m honored to serve as chair of an organization that offers such universal value to depository institutions of all types and sizes, from the largest global banks to our community banks and credit unions,” Haitema said in a statement. “NACHA is committed to maintaining and improving the safety, soundness and efficiency that the ACH Network provides to its participants. At the same time, we will continue to seek opportunities for growth of electronic payments in this global economy.”David Willis, vice president of debit card and funds services at Navy Federal Credit Union, was elected to NACHA’s board.
