ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The NCUA has a new top enforcer.Region V Director Melinda Love was named director of the agency’s Office of Examination and Insurance last week.Love, who has worked for the agency since 1986, will oversee its supervision and examination program, risk management and data collection systems. She succeeds David Marquis, who is the agency’s new executive director.She has served as regional director of the Region V office for more than five years, and she served as director of the former Chicago regional office. Love is a past NCUA deputy executive director and she has also served as deputy director within NCUA’s Office of Examination and Insurance.Love began her career at the agency as an examiner in Northern California and has been a principal examiner, problem case officer, supervision analyst, supervisory examiner and acting director of special actions. Love participated in NCUA’s management development program in the early 1990s.She holds a degree in accounting, an MBA from St. Mary’s College and is a certified internal auditor.–[email protected]
