HOBOKEN, N.J. -- In light of the economic crisis, Credit Union Times has added a new category to its 2008 awards.

In the individual categories bracket Credit Union Times is adding a CFO of the Year award. With this new addition, Credit Union Time is also extending the awards deadline until Jan.14, 2009.

The 2008 awards program now includes the following individual categories:

• CEO of the Year
• CFO of the Year
• Volunteer of the Year
• Information Technology Executive of the Year
• Marketing Executive of the Year

There are also two institutional awards in the following categories:

• Outstanding Political Action
• Serving the Underserved

Winners will be selected by the editorial department. Credit Union Times will host an awards event during CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference to unveil the winners.

The entry period runs until Jan. 14, 2009. The entry form can be found on the Credit Union Times Web site, www.cutimes.com.
