The amount, which is the most in the organization's history, enabled the group to participate in 83% of the 470 U.S. House and Senate races this year and it backed the winner in 92% of the races in which it supported a candidate.
CULAC contributed more than $2.9 million to federal candidates and committees and spent $528.000 on independent expenditures. It now has about $100,000 left in its treasury to begin its work in the next cycle.
