LANCASTER, Pa. — The $47 million Lancaster Red Rose Credit Union has opened new branch to deliberately reach out to potential Hispanic members.
The new branch is in a Puerto Rican Cultural Center in Lancaster. Lancaster Red Rose CEO, Abby Achey, explained that the new full service branch would not offer any different products or service than the CU's other branches but which would seek to build on the credit union's experience working with Hispanic members.
"We already have bilingual workers in our other branches and already have a significant number of Hispanic members," Achey explained, adding that even though the CU only recently began serving the broader community some of its employers already had a number of Hispanic employees.
