Postal Credit Union, Woodbury, Minn., held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Eagan office. Eagan Mayor Mike Maguire, City Administrator Tom Hedges, Community Development Director Jon Hohenstein, State Senator Jim Carlson, State Representative Sandra Masin, PCU Board Chairman Jim Bryan, PCU President Russ Plunkett, PCU Board and executive staff, representatives from the Dakota County Regional Chamber, architects from the Collaborative Design Group and contractors from James Steele donned hardhats bearing the PCU logo and held gold shovels to officially kick off construction on the new site. The new office will be approximately 3,560 square feet and feature an open teller arrangement, three drive-thru lanes, a drive-up, surcharge-free ATMs and complete member and cash services. The construction will feature day light in all spaces, insulating concrete forms wall construction, superinsulation and rain gardens to eliminate storm water run-off and a large portion of the site will be restored to natural prairie.

UNCLE Credit Union, Livermore, Calif., opened a full-service branch in Manteca. The new branch will serve of 64,000 residents of Manteca and the surrounding communities. The credit union held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and served refreshments throughout the day.

Lebanon Federal Credit Union, Lebanon, Pa., held an official grand opening of its new branch office in Myerstown. The event was celebrated with food, fun, prizes and autographs from former Philadelphia Eagle Bill Bergey. Bergey signed more than 500 Lebanon FCU footballs for members. Soft Rock 100.1 did a live broadcast. Prizes included a gas grill and a $653 shopping spree to Dutchway Farm Markets. The credit union offered new and used car loan specials, deposit specials and a prize for those signing up for e-services. During the two-day event the credit union welcomed 28 new members, opened 52 different deposit services and disbursed 16 new loans.
