DES MOINES, Iowa — The Members Group has moved its card fraud protection back in house, the card processor associated with the Iowa Credit Union League announced.

TMG uses a fraud detection center that uses First Data's Falcon Fraud Detection System to handle debit and credit card fraud prevention as well as helping cardholders resolve cases.

“Moving our fraud center in-house has improved the speed and accuracy of fraud detection and case resolution,” said Karen Postma, TMG cards risk senior manager. “With a closer eye on cardmember activity, we can better identify trends and prevent fraud.”

TMG said that the move will cut the time need to resolve claims from as much as three days under some outsourced providers to a matter of hours, TMG said. The move will also allow TMG to have live staff on hand 24/7 to handle fraud concerns, the processor added.
