WESTBROOK, Maine — An upstate New York credit union is the first in the Empire State to commit to core processing on the Symitar Episys platform through a service bureau setting at Synergent, the company said.

The subsidiary of the Maine Credit Union League is adding $135 million Northern FCU to the list of more than 50 credit unions it said it has converted to the Symitar Episys platform in the past four years.

The 24,000-member CU (www.northernfcu.com) currently runs on a Fiserv IntegraSys core platform, according to its 5300 Call Report with the NCUA.
