ALEXANDRIA, Va. — NCUA Chairman Michael Fryzel announced today that Sarah Vega will take on the role as chief of staff and senior policy adviser to the chairman.
Vega will start in the position on Sept. 10 and will be responsible for advising the chairman on the full range of issues before the NCUA and oversee the day-to-day management of his office.
Vega has 15 years of public service in Illinois and experience in private law practice. She also served four years as director of the Illinois Department of Financial Institutions and 10 years as administrator of the department's credit union division.

"Sarah Vega will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role. I am very pleased that she has chosen to continue her public service in this capacity, and I am confident that she will be a tremendous asset to me and my efforts as NCUA chairman," said Fryzel.
