CLEVELAND, Ohio — Hyland Software Inc. has acquired Liberty Information Management Systems.

The private transaction addsed more than 1,000 users of Liberty IMS document-centric business process management software to Hyland's existing base of 7,200 clients, including 400 credit unions that use the company's OnBase enterprise content management software suite.

"Bringing our two companies together will provide our customers and partners with an even broader set of capabilities with which to drive down costs and decrease inefficiencies while improving their business processes," said Steve Lehrer, formerly chief solutions officer at Liberty IMS, who will be joining Hyland as a senior member of the product team.
