First New York Federal Credit Union, Schenectady, N.Y., has hired Mario Alaia as accounting manager. Alaia most recently worked for Key Bank as an assistant branch manager since 2005.
Digital Federal Credit Union, Marlborough, Mass., announced the hiring of John P. LaHair as public relations manager. As public relations manager LaHair will implement and execute public relations initiatives and will manager the credit unions program of corporate giving and community relations. LaHair was previously director of marketing for the DCU Center for the past ten years. In that position he was responsible for all marketing and public relations efforts for the entertainment, sports and convention complex.
Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union, Lowell, Mass., hired Debra L. Peglow as assistant treasurer/branch manager of its Tyngsboro branch. Peglow will be responsible for managing daily branch operations, procedures and practices. Peglow came to Jeanne D'Arc with extensive branch management history and expansive commitment to community involvement.
SOUTH
Atlanta Postal Credit Union, Atlanta, announced that Janet Spruell celebrated her 30th anniversary at the credit union. Spruell is the vice president of operations at Atlanta Postal. Spruell was honored with a catered reception and received a diamond anniversary pin in recognition of her years of service. Also, Shari Lawrence was promoted to manager of marketing. Lawrence has worked at Atlanta Posta for 15 years and most recently served as marketing representative.
MIDWEST
FAA Credit Union, Oklahoma City, announced that Randy Smith has been named vice president of United Financial Partners, a subsidiary of the credit union. Smith has worked as assistant vice president of business lending since 2005. As vice president Smith will continue to work with clients to meet commercial lending needs.
FORUM Credit Union, Indianapolis, announced the promotions of three employees. Andrew Spirrison was promoted to regional manager of retail delivery. Spirrison started at FORUM in 2004 as assistant branch manager of the Fishers branch. Chris Ferguson was also promoted to regional manager of retail delivery. Ferguson started at FORUM in 2003 as a manager in training. Brandon Speckman was promoted to senior branch manager. Speckman started at FORUM in 2003 as a member service representative at the East Washington Street Branch.
WEST
The Golden 1 Credit Union, Sacramento, Calif., announced that Robin Johnson has been hired as loan product manager for the marketing department. Johnson has over nine years of experience in the financial services industry. She came to Golden 1 form a large national bank, where she worked as a product marketing manager and delivered more than $800 million in loan volume.
Ent Federal Credit Union, Colorado Springs, Colo., announced the promotion of two of its employees and the hiring of two new employees. Travis Dodge and Michelle Hylton were promoted to directors of investment services. Dodge has been with Ent for over five years and has been the recipient of the CUSO Financial Services pacesetter award multiple times in his career. Dodge will oversee Ent's southern region. Hylton has over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry and will be overseeing Ent's northern region. Tony Sloan was hired as a mortgage loan officer and has over 20 years of sales and service experience and six years in the financial services industry. Suzi Gradisar was hired as a mortgage loan officer and brings over 20 years of mortgage industry experience.
DRI Management Systems, Newport Beach, Calif., announced the hiring of Fred Melgaard as executive vice president. Melgaard is a 19-year industry veteran and came to DRI from Harland Financial Solutions, where he served in various capacities since 1999, including vice president of servicing products and customer experience.
Mountain America Credit Union, Salt Lake City, announced that Simon Pearson has been named the manager of the Rose Park branch. Pearson was previously the assistant manager at the Holladay branch. He has more than three years of financial industry experience.
