ARLINGTON, Va. — Credit union employees wanting a primer on the workings of National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund can participate in NAFCU's July 25 Webcast.
NCUA Staff Attorney Frank Kressman will give an overview of the program, which his agency administers, and address frequently asked questions about it. Participants will be able to ask questions online during the session or can e-mail them ahead of time to: [email protected].
“In this economic climate, credit union members have a real need for accurate and consistent information on share insurance. On a subject of such vital importance, we felt it would benefit the industry as a whole to offer a free Webcast that answers commonly asked questions regarding share insurance and the security of funds,” said NAFCU President Fred Becker. “We are delighted to partner with the NCUA on such an important topic.”
The Webcast, which will be moderated by NAFCU Director of Regulatory Compliance Anthony Demangone, is scheduled to run from 2-3:30 p.m. on July 25. There is no cost but you must register in advance at www.nafcu.org/shareinsurance.
