SAN JOSE, Calif. — Meriwest Credit Union has elected Stan Chapman, Karl Nigg and Charles Munch to three-year terms on the board of directors.

In addition, Ramsey Melugin was elected to the board for a one-year term. In an additional action by the board, Phil Fluegemann was appointed to serve on the supervisory committee.

Nigg and Chapman were both board members, serving 39 years and 41 years, respectively. The newcomers to the board are Melugin, a retired official at NASA Ames Research Center, and Munch, the new vice chairman, who is a retired career officer in the U.S. Navy and former executive officer of the Moffett Field Naval Air Station. Munch was a business area manager for information technologies at Northrop Grumman Corp. for 20 years after leaving the service. Both Melugin and Munch served on the board of Golden Bay Credit Union for many years.
