Treasury to Recognize CUs for Direct Deposit Campaign

WASHINGTON -- Three credit unions are among the dozen financial institutions that will be recognized today by the Department of the Treasury for their efforts in helping people switch their Social Security benefits from paper checks to direct deposit as part of the agency's Go Direct campaign.

WASHINGTON — Three credit unions are among the dozen financial institutions that will be recognized today by the Department of the Treasury for their efforts in helping people switch their Social Security benefits from paper checks to direct deposit as part of the agency’s Go Direct campaign.

The three winning credit unions are Cooperativa de Ahorro y Credito Roosevelt Roads, in Puerto Rico, Interstate Unlimited CU in Jesup, Ga., and Century Heritage FCU in Pittsburgh. This is the second time Treasury recognized Interstate Unlimited CU, which received the honor in 2007.
