Fall River Municipal Credit Union, Fall River, Mass. announced the recipients of its 2008 scholarships. Six $500 scholarships were awarded to Andrew Gustafson, Matthew McKinnon, Linda Owens, Allison Sirois, Natash Costa Soares and Samantha Toupin.

Local Government Federal Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., awarded $25,000 in scholarships to 21 high school seniors and post-secondary students. Scholarships ranged from $500 to $1,500. The scholarship recipients were: Charley Bradley, Tianna Coleman, Raymond Echevarria III, Heather Griffin, Kathleen Hankins, Larry Harrell Jr., Megan Harris, Alyssa Hicks, Daniel Ingold, Devin Lyda, Haley Lyda, Carrie Mahoney, Brooks Parham, Trenton Patterson, Loretta Spear, Leslie Watkins and Elizabeth Whitaker. Four additional scholarships were award to Local Government FCU members through the Carolina Credit Union Foundation's general fund. These scholarships were awarded to: Toni Ellis, Vita Roberts,Kari, Kari Skellington and Javan Sutton.

Parkview Community Federal Credit Union, Mc Keesport, Pa., awarded two $500 scholarships from its newly created scholarship fund. Kellie Kucera and Brandon DeCecco were the two recipients. Kucera is a sophomore pre-med student at Seton Hall University and Brandon is a junior accounting student at Waynesburg University.
