MARLBOROUGH, Mass. — New England Credit Union Services has launched a quarterly magazine, CenterPoint, that covers news for the Massachusetts Credit Union League, New Hampshire Credit Union League and the Credit Union Association of Rhode Island.
The first edition of the magazine was published for this spring and covers local credit union news and features articles on making good loans in the aftermath of the subprime crisis, the continued growth of the shared branching network in the Northeast, compliance and membership growth.
CenterPoint is published in combination with monthly newsletters published in each of the three states and an e-Weekly bulletin. The monthly newsletters are also undergoing developing changes as they will be sent out to credit unions electronically for the August edition.

"The timing was definitely ripe to undertake this comprehensive reconfiguration of our publications mix," said Dan Egan, president of the Massachusetts Credit Union League, New Hampshire Credit Union League and the Credit Union Association of Rhode Island. "Working together with The Warren Group, we were able to create a dynamic, colorful publication. Combining this piece with an electronic monthly newsletter and our e-Weekly bulletin, we can address a greater range of subjects and do so in a way that best suits each story."
The first edition of CenterPoint begins with an address by Egan that discusses Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson Jr.'s Department of the Treasury's Blueprint for Financial Regulatory Reform and the plans potential impact on credit unions.
