WASHINGTON — Eddie Haskell is part of the credit union movement.
Ken Osmond, who played the too-eager-to-please character on the television series “Leave It to Beaver” and a credit union member.' will speak at a CUNA reception during next month's meeting of the National Conference of State Legislatures.
CUNA expects 500 legislators and their guests to attend the reception, which is part of the conference's annual meeting in New Orleans.
Osmond played the mischievous friend of Beaver's older brother Wally during the series, which ran from 1958 to 1963 and is still shown in reruns. After leaving acting, he spent 18 years as an officer in the Los Angeles Police Department. He now manages rental properties in the Los Angeles.
