INDIANAPOLIS — The 100,000th member of Indiana Members Credit Union recently received an unexpected gift of 100,000 pennies to mark the financial institution's membership growth milestone.
Holly Brune, a 20-year old student, was the lucky recipient. On the advice of her mother, who works for the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis system, Brune joined the credit union.
"When I joined, Indiana Members employees were wonderful to me. They really helped me and explained everything I needed to know," Brune said. "And, wow, to win $1,000, that was really cool. I can certainly use it for school. I certainly want to thank Indiana Members Credit Union and my mom for recommending that I join."
