ATLANTA — The Georgia Credit Union Executives Association will host a July 25 presentation on steps to take in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.

The session will highlight steps taken by national, state and local entities to support and protect the credit union industry and financial services sector in the event of a natural disaster or man-made cyber or physical threat. Ted Hansen, deputy director of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center at the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance, will discuss the center's role and links to the credit union industry.

Hansen and Rick Kelly, corporate business continuity manager for Synovus and the co-founder of GeorgiaFIRST, will discuss the state and local efforts forming through GeorgiaFIRST, the department's regional recovery coalition for the entire financial services industry in Georgia.
