LEOMINSTER, Mass. — Workers' Credit Union has provided funding to HealthAlliance Hospital for the launch of Community Resource Cyber Stations throughout the hospital.
Workers' Credit Union President/CEO Fred Healey visited the hospital and presented a check to HealthAlliance Hospital President/CEO Patrick L. Muldoon.
"Everyone at the credit union feels honored by this opportunity to build onto the already strong partnership we have with HealthAlliance Hospital through our Bank-at-Work Program," Healey said.

The project is underway and expected to be completed this fall. It is an extension of the current Resource Center at the hospital and will include computer terminals placed in 17 locations throughout the hospital system that will have recommended health and wellness Web sites available. The current Resource Center is located at the Leominster Campus and provides access to the hospital's librarian and resource materials.
"With the incredible support of Workers' Credit Union, the hospital will be able to offer our community a new and exciting way of accessing high quality, reputable medical information," Muldoon said. "The cyber stations will provide a comfortable, easily accessible environment, with state-of-the-art equipment for patients, their families, and community members."
The hospital as already gone wireless earlier this year to provide all patients and visitors free Internet access on both the Burbank and Leominster Campuses. This makes the hospital the largest provider of free public wireless Internet access in North Central Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Internet access is available in patient rooms, waiting areas, cafeterias, lobbies, the Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center, Medical and Professional Buildings, and the Guild Conference Room.
