EAST

First New York Federal Credit Union, Schnectady, N.Y., announced the hiring of Michelle Barson as membership development officer.

Oxford Federal Credit Union, Mexico, Maine, announced the hiring of Kimberly Davis as a full time administrative assistant.

The New York State Credit Union League, Latham, N.Y., announced that Community Development Coordinator Allison Doney has received accreditation as a Credit Union Development Educator. CUDE is an interactive training presented by the NCUF. Graduates of the six-day program learn how to apply training principles of social responsibility to reach out to those most in need of quality, affordable financial services, particularly those in low-income communities.

Members 1st Federal Credit Union, Mechanicsburg, Pa., announced the promotion of Fred Ryerse to senior vice president of lending. Ryerse started at Members 1st in 1997 as assistant vice president of real estate lending. In 2004, he was promoted to vice president of lending.

First Capital Federal Credit Union, York, Pa., announced the hiring of Tara Houser as its new marketing director. Also, Wendy Tawney was promoted to business services manager. Tawney was previously the branch manager of the South York branch.

SOUTH

El Paso Employees Federal Credit Union, El Paso, Texas, announced the promoted of Rose Meza to manager of the El Dorado branch. Meza has been with El Paso for eight years. Also, Robert Delgadillo was promoted to manager of the Northeast branch. Delgadillo has over 14 years of experience at financial institutions.

Georgia Federal Credit Union, Stockbridge, Ga., announced the hiring of Vickie J. Loper as the new manager of the Stockbridge location. Loper as been in the financial services industry for seventeen years with experience in branch management and business development.

Security Service Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, announced the appointment of Bridgett Kersh to manager of its 281 North Service Center. Kersh was previously the manager of the Nacogdoches location. Also, Julie Balboa was promoted to assistant vice president of member service for the South Texas District. Balboa was previously the manager of the Uvalde location.

Arkansas Federal Credit Union, Little Rock, Ark., announced that Rodney Showmar has been promoted to chief operating officer. Also, Terry Vick was promoted to chief lending officer.

Texas Credit Union League, Dallas, announced that Hal Thomas was inducted into the Texas Credit Union Hall of Fame. Thomas was involved in the credit union movement for more than 40 years starting his career at Exxon Baytown Credit Union in 1964. Thomas is the past director of the Texas Credit Union League, CUNA, and past president of the Houston Chapter of Credit Unions. He was appointed by Gov. George W. Bush to a six-year term as a member of the Texas Credit Union Department Commission and was a member for the Credit Union Executives Society and Credit Union Manager's Association. Thomas is also an advisory committee member for the State Board of Insurance.

Barksdale Federal Credit Union, Bossier City, La., announced that Patrick Gullatt has been selected as the new executive vice president and chief operations officer. Gullat has been at Barksdale as the chief financial officer since 1999. John Weaver has been selected to replace Gullatt as the chief financial officer. Weaver has been Barksdale's accounting manager and vice president of accounting since March of 2003.

MIDWEST

TopLine Federal Credit Union, Maple Grove, Minn., announced the hiring of David Heymans as the director of information services. Heymans has more than 30 years of experience in the computer industry. Vicki Erickson was hired as the new director of marketing. Alicia Barber was hired as director of human resources. Barger is returning to TopLine after serving as senior human resources consultant for Nuclear Management Co., a subsidiary of Xcel Energy.

IU Credit Union, Indianapolis, announced that Andrew Bowen was hired as branch manager at the Indianapolis branch. Bowen has nine years of experience in the financial industry.

Community Choice Credit Union, Livonia, Mich., announced its CEO Catherine Roberts will retire on June 30 after 32 years. Robert Bava Community Choice president will take Roberts place as CEO. Upon her retirement, Roberts will assume the position of president of legislative affairs to devote more of her time to educating legislators about the value of credit union members. She will also continue to hold her position on several boards of directors.

Capital Credit Union, Kimberly, Wis., announced the hiring of Rachel Busick as director of training and development. Busick is responsible for the entire training and development function at Capital CU.

Hiway Federal Credit Union, St. Paul, Minn., announced that its President/CEO Jeff Schwalen was inducted into Who's Who in America's Credit Unions for 2008. Schwalen was nominated for this prestigious recognition based upon his leadership and service at Hiway. Schwalen also received the Volunteer of the Year award from the Credit Unions for Kids committee. The award was given to recognize his hard work and dedication in furthering the mission of CUFK programs in Minnesota credit unions.

Afena Federal Credit Union, Marion, Ind., announced that Member Service Relationship Officer Shirley Embry has announced her retirement. Embry has been at Afena for 27 years and has worked at Afena's main branch in Marion.

Consumers Credit Union, Kalamazoo, Mich., announced that Tim Kosak was named consumer lending manager. Kosak has been an employee at Consumers for 12 years and previously served as office manager for the Centre, West Main and Cambridge officers and most recently served as senior lender and collections manager.

BFG Federal Credit Union, Akron, Ohio, announced the promotion of Michael Owens to president/CEO. Owens started at BFG in 1991 and prior to his promotion served as executive vice president. Cheryl Foster was promoted to executive vice president to replace Owens. Foster started at BFG over 30 years ago and previously held the position of chief financial officer. Foster has also served on the board of directors of the Summit County Chapter of Credit Unions.

FORUM Credit Union, Indianapolis, announced the promotion of Steve Bryan to branch manager at the Nora location. Bryan joined FORUM in 2005 as a manager-in-training. After completing the manager-in-training program, Bryan was named assistant branch manager at the East Washington Street location before transferring to the Nora branch as the assistant manager in September 2007.

Greater Warren Credit Union, Warren, Ohio, announced that Brian McCue has been named president. McCue has been employed at Greater Warren since 1991 and has held several positions such as, executive vice president, vice president of finance and controller. McCue is also a certified senior executive and serves as treasurer of the Mahoning Valley Chapter of the Ohio Credit Union League.

WEST

Mountain America Credit Union, Salt Lake City, announced the promotion of Daniel Odom to manager of the Kimball Junction branch. Odom was worked at Mountain America for six years and was most recently the assistant manager at the Holladay branch. Also, Christi Griffis has been named the manager of the Roosevelt branch. Griffis has worked at Mountain America for eight years.

Rocky Mountain Credit Union, Helena, Mont., announced the hiring of Larry Bauer as marketing and business development specialist.

Sound Credit Union, Tacoma, Wash., announced that it has hired Paul Stevick as financial advisor. Stevick is registered through CUSO Financial Services L.P. as a broker-dealer and holds FINRA licenses that allow him to advise individuals on various financial topics.

Redwood Credit Union, Santa Rosa, Calif., announced the promotion of Sean Anderson to branch manager of the Windsor branch. Anderson has worked at Redwood for the last seven years and was most recently the assistant branch manager at the Windsor branch.

Xceed Financial Credit Union, El Segundo, Calif., announced that Maria Angelova has been selected by the California Credit Union League and the Richard Myles Johnson Foundation for sponsorship to attend this years World Council of Credit Union's Conference held July 13-16 in Hong Kong. Angelova handles administrative and wealth management duties for Xceed.

VENDOR

Design Build Concepts, Atlanta, announced that Tim Black has been hired as a new architectural project manager. Black has over 15 years of design, construction documentation and construction administration experience. Black's first project will be Jefferson County Teachers' Credit Union in Bessemer, Ala, and the Birmingham Post Office Credit Union.
