WASHINGTON — People with ideas about how the government can encourage financial literacy should not keep their thoughts to themselves.

The President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy is seeking comments and suggestions that it may incorporate into its final report to President Bush later this year.

The panel wants ideas about: Youth financial literacy; financial education in the workplace; financial access for underserved markets; financial literacy research; and Outreach and awareness.

Statements may be e-mailed to [email protected], or sent in triplicate form to the President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy, Office of Financial Education, Room 1332, Department of the Treasury, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave., NW., Washington, DC, 20220. The deadline is May 23.
