PHOENIX — Arizona Federal Credit Union opened its doors for operations inside the newly built Maryvale YMCA.
Arizona FCU and Maryvale YMCA jointly hosted a grand-opening event at the facility. Aside from full-scale financial services Arizona FCU will also offer financial fitness classes in English and Spanish at its service center inside the YMCA.
"We're excited to partner with the YMCA to deliver financial education and financial services to the Maryvale community," said Arizona FCU President & CEO Ronald Westad. "As the YMCA helps to build strong kids, families and communities through emotional and physical fitness, we intend to contribute financial fitness to these same constituents."

"I am so proud of Arizona Federal and the YMCA for coming together to support financial literacy," said Letcher. "Money is a life skill. We must teach our young people the skills–both scholastic and financial–that they need to not only survive, but to thrive in the world."
The opening event included a ribbon cutting ceremony, festivities, music, prizes, food and games.
