DEER PARK, Texas — Shell Federal Credit Union has joined the growing list of credit unions offering their members banking by cell phone.
The $284 million CU is offering its more than 40,000 members the ability to check balances, pay bills and transfer funds through mobile phones and other handheld devices, regardless of carrier.
The service launched April 1. The credit union is promoting it with in-branch posters, banners on the main Web site at www.shellfcu.org, and a drawing for an iPhone that ends in June.
