PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — New Hampshire Governor John Lynch gave kudos to $1.2 billion Service Credit Union during its 51st annual meeting last week, saying the state's largest credit union “sets the standard for all other organizations” during his keynote speech.
“I have to thank the Service Credit Union for the great work you have done to make yourself a part of the fabric of New Hampshire,” Lynch said. “You should have enormous pride. We've had three major floods, in Alstead, the Mother's Day floods and the Nor'easter of last year. In every case, Service Credit Union was there.”
The Granite State has been hit with three major floods since 2005; in response, the credit union has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to groups that provide flood relief for residents, like Governor Lynch's Disaster Relief Fund.
