PLANO, Texas — Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union will add business capture services to its collection of check processing products, which already includes branch capture and teller capture, beginning March 31. Jody Beck, senior vice president of operations, said the new service will help member credit unions attract business accounts.
To implement the service, a member must install a check scanner at his or her business location. Software is downloaded and installed on the member's computer that allows checks to be imaged and securely transmitted to Southwest for processing.
The corporate is scheduling hour-long Webinar training sessions, with two dates already set in April and one in May. The free Webinar will feature live demos and experts on hand to answer specific questions. Required registration begins Friday at Southwest's Web site (www.swcorp.org).
“Employing Southwest Corporate's Business Capture service will allow credit unions to help minimize–or even eliminate–trips a member has to make just to deposit checks. It also helps expedite deposit collections and extends deposit deadlines,” Beck said.
